If Facebook were to decide to try and implement their social media in China they would experience a massive increase in users. China has a large population and with a large population would come a large number of users which would create amazing marketing and revenue for Facebook. This would however prove to be difficult with all the laws, and censorships that come with the government of China. China does not allow their citizens to speak their mind freely, especially if it goes against the government. Facebook would face the reality of not knowing what the government will control on the social media platform in the country which may defeat the overall purpose of Facebook.

Facebook may lose out on the users, but I don't think that would affect the firm all too much. Facebook as is, is very powerful and in control of various other companies. Their revenue source has sky-rocketed leaving them at a high-standing. Personally, China would lose the name to Facebook, especially since the country is not liked by many other countries and could cause a great rift in the social media world.
